Using DISCOFILM SET – step by step
1. Preparation
Place the record on the base.
The pin of the base element must protrude through the center hole of the plate.
Attach the applicator dish (dispenser) to the spike.
💡 Tip from Dr. DISCO:
Warm the DISCOFILM bottle beforehand in a water bath (approx. 25–30 °C). This makes the liquid more pliable and allows you to clean more record sides with one filling!
2. Apply
Pull off the cap of the DISCOFILM bottle.
Pierce the seal with a sharp object (e.g., a thorn).
Press lightly on the bottle and fill the applicator with liquid up to the fill line.
➡️ Slowly rotate the applicator clockwise over the record.
➡️ A smooth, continuous film should form, covering all grooves.
➡️ If liquid is running low, simply refill and continue the job.
➡️ Then remove the applicator.
3. Drying & Peeling
Allow the film to dry completely – approximately 2-4 hours depending on room temperature.
Now all the dirt particles are bound in the film.
📌 Here's how to peel off the film:
Stick a strip of adhesive tape approximately 5 cm long halfway onto the edge of the record.
Press it down firmly and slowly peel the film off upwards.
❗ Note:
If the film tears when you peel it off, it was probably applied too thinly. No problem – simply apply another layer and let it dry as usual.Application of DISCOFILM bottle with sponge applicator - step by step

Carefully pierce the sealing membrane with a pointed object (e.g. a spike).
Now apply DISCOFILM evenly and generously to the record using a sponge or brush.
Make sure that a homogeneous, closed film forms over all grooves.
